Finally, a healthy cake! Our No-Refined-Sugar cake is made with a whole bunch of healthy and organic ingredients. This cake contains pinto beans are from England, and sweet potatoes from Spain, and is made with soya milk using beans grown in France. Our cocoa is sourced via a local cooperative and fairly traded.
The ingredients are whole, unprocessed, and good for your gut. All the ingredients are organic. Your cake is sweetened only with homemade organic date puree and a minimal amount of organic unrefined rapadura sugar.
This cake contains sweet potato; whole almonds which are mechanically ground in-house; whole wheat flour*; pinto beans; lots of 100% cocoa powder; soya milk made from French soya beans; homemade 100% date puree; cold-pressed deodorised rapeseed oil; palm-oil free vegan margarine; vanilla essence. You may think it sounds a bit too "healthy", but believe us, it tastes superb!

In addition, you can choose Chocolate-Peanut Butter, with organic 100% peanut butter stirred into the buttercream. Soooo good.
Last but not least, we have Mocha. Organic freshly-brewed coffee added to the cake and the buttercream makes this a really grown-up and sumptuous option.
How to serve
Absolutely delicious on its own with a good cup of coffee. Perfect as a dessert with fresh berries and some cream or creme fraiche. You can microwave a slice and it becomes a fantastic chocolate fudge cake with soft, hot fudgy filling.
A 6-inch cake gives a good 12 slices, and it's very rich so a slice feels indulgent.
* Available as a gluten-free option. In this case, in place of wholewheat flour, we use organic wholegrain teff flour. Teff is a small, naturally gluten-free grain.
