This is a real favourite, a variation on cherry bakewell. Three layers of soft, moist almond sponge, filled with almond buttercream and a layer of cherry compote. Decorated with piped scrolls, toasted flaked almonds and little fondant hearts, plus a spritz of gold edible lustre.
This cake can be personalised with a handwritten fondant plaque with your message on it, added to the top of the cake.
